City living

Today I made great use of the transit system that is so awesomely convenient, and rode ONE bus from about a block from our apartment in federal way to 2 blocks from the ferry terminals in Seattle. ONE BUS! I was so excited not to be confused making transfers or needing the right change or finding the right buses, it was AWESOME! I went up to Seattle to hang out with some good friends who I hadn't realized I hadn't seen in such a looooong time. It was so nice just to roam around, chat, whatever we wanted, I've missed those guys! (By the way, we all made use of our public transportation, all coming from opposite directions, two of us road the buses, and the other caught the ferry, I was proud.)
Spending time in Seattle makes me really want to live in the city for a while. The actual city, in an apartment in a big old building, walk everywhere, taxi's and buses everywhere, the whole shebang. Federal Way is a city, but I want the downtown experience, or something closer to it. Not that I'm about to settle down and raise a family in the middle of the biggest town in the state, but its one of those things on my list of things to experience before I die, you know? If its an option, I'd like to try it, just to say I did it, and make an opinion from there. Besides, its a drag to wish and hope and want for something and never even try to fufill it. Maybe I'd hate living smack in the city, but I'd never know unless I tried, so I might as well. While I'm still young!
